Private dining in the East Room, Rumford Room or the much smaller Baldwin Room means expertly prepared food and professional service in a private setting. This venue is ideal for catered business dinner meetings, private parties and special occasions. The Rumford Room includes a large 50" flat screen. Tour groups and other interstate busses can be accommodated at Beacon Grille with prior reservations and a credit card deposit. The Baldwin Room accommodates 10 for dinner at a magnificent round granite table. Our largest capacity is 150 within our function rooms, plus 200 in the Atrium.

For functions with full dinner service, the restaurant has a $45 per person average food and beverage minimum. A starter course plus a choice of either soup or salad, and a choice from pre-selected dinner entrees, plus coffee, tea, or soda, and a choice of any of our regular desserts can easily be accommodated within the minimum average.

Our pondside location offers an intimate, natural setting for wedding ceremonies or photos. With an attractive arbor and seating for up to 60 people, it is an ideal spot for outdoor celebrations.

Its beautifully appointed private dining rooms are suitable for engagement parties, bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, wedding receptions, and post-nuptial brunches.

The Atrium, with its stunning three-story glass façade, is perfect for large-scale gatherings. Its wide-open space leaves ample room for dining, mingling, and dancing, and the attractive staircase landing in the center is ideal for speeches and announcements.

For smaller events, Beacon Grille’s lovely, pondside venue offers an intimate, natural setting to take wedding vows, just steps away from the reception. With spring flowers, summer greenery, and fall foliage, this waterfront venue is also an attractive location for wedding photos.

Please note that, while reasonable food and beverage minimums may apply, Beacon Grille does not charge rental fees for the use of its function rooms or any other venues.

Located in Woburn, MA, Beacon Grille offers all the advantages of a fine downtown wedding venue in a relaxed, suburban setting. Guests will appreciate the ample free parking and easily accessible location, directly of Route 128 (I-95) and just one mile west of I-93.

Event Planner Denise McKeown offers a generous wealth of information and guidance, and is delighted to assist couples withstaying on budget, planning a gourmet menu, creating a custom cocktail, deciding on a floor plan and seating.

In August 2011, Beacon Grille received Wine Spectator’s 2011 Award of Excellence for its well-chosen and interesting selections of quality wines.

Social responsibility

Beacon Grille is serious about fine cuisine. But, it is also serious about making a difference. To this end, it employs numerous green business practices, and donates 100 percent of the restaurant’s after-tax profits, through a partnership with Tufts University, to the cause of genocide prevention around the world.

For cocktails and hors d'oeuvre service only, see our basic hors d'oeuvres menu below. At least 30 guests are needed to reserve the East Room or the Rumford Room for cocktail receptions. Smaller numbers can usually be accommodated in the Alcove Room.

Alcoholic beverages are charged by consumption. Service can be from an open bar, cash bar, wine and beer only, or a combination of these. Massachusetts meals tax and an 18% gratuity are added, but there is typically no rental fee for any room.

If wine will be served with dinner, it may be pre-selected from either our regular Wine List or from our Reserve List. One of our certified sommeliers will be happy to assist in selecting a by-the-glass or by-the-bottle red, and white. Arrangements for wine pairing and wine tasting dinners may also be made with our general manager or with one of our Certified Sommeliers. Public wine tasting dinners are scheduled on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM in the Rumford Room.

Beacon Grille operates four distinct private dining areas. For proper utilization of these different areas, all final room assignments are subject to change up to three hours prior to the actual event.

Beacon Grille is a full-service American style restaurant. As such it offers a range of room options, as well as personalized assistance in planning events to ensure we deliver high quality cuisine and service. We encourage guests to work closely with our event coordinator and sommeliers when planning menu and beverage selections, audio/visual details, music, etc.

Private Dining Policies

Weekend Events: Beacon Grille is available for private parties on weekends, although limitations may apply due to the high demand for a la carte dining on these days. Food and beverage minimums vary.

Deposit: A deposit is required in order to reserve a private dining room, and no reservation shall be considered confirmed until accepted in writing by an authorized representative of Beacon Grille. The deposit will be credited on the bill at the conclusion of the event. All final payments must be via cash or credit card at the time of the event. Estimated Count: An estimated guest count is necessary in order to reserve space for any event. A final guest count is then required to be provided at least 72 hours before the date of the event. Billing will be based upon the final count or the actual number in attendance, whichever is greater.

Service Charges, Minimums and Taxes: At Beacon Grille there are no room charges for the use of our private rooms for strictly dining, or for social or personal events. Minimum food revenue requirements apply when booking a private function, as our dining room(s) are otherwise used for a la carte dining. Minimum revenue requirements apply to food and beverages combined, not including state tax or 18 percent gratuity. Beacon Grille accepts only cash and/or major credit cards for payment.

Flowers: Floral arrangements may always be purchased or otherwise brought in from any source of a guest's choosing. Beacon Grille, however, has used Corporate Daisy florists at 600 West Cummings Park, Woburn, MA 01801, and is pleased to recommend their work and quality. General: Homemade special occasion cakes and pastries may always be ordered through Beacon Grille, but cakes may also be brought in from any licensed bakery by an event sponsor. When served with any luncheon or dinner, Beacon Grille will provide the servers plus needed plates and flatware at no charge. Guest decorations are always subject to Beacon Grille approval. By law, alcoholic beverages may not be served before noon on Sundays, and may not be brought into or taken from the building by Guest or others in attendance at Guest's event. Irrespective of the amount of wine ordered, guests are never charged for unopened bottles. Beacon Grille fully adheres to city and state smoking regulations. Smoking is prohibited anywhere inside any public building in Massachusetts.

Cancellation Policy: If a Guest cancels a scheduled event, and so notifies Beacon Grille less than one month prior to the scheduled date, up to 50 percent of the deposit will be refunded. Cancellations within one week of the event will result in forfeiture of the entire deposit. Guest agrees, however, that cancellation or failure to appear for the scheduled event, without having provided Beacon Grille with at least 72 hours advance notice, will result in Guest's credit card being charged the entire estimated food (only) revenue for the event, based on the final guest count. This policy is essential not only because of costs and commitments incurred by the facility in anticipation of completing your event, but also because in many cases your reservation will have precluded some other party using the facility if it had not been reserved for your use.
